for more
capital improvements. Watch this site for details to be announced late in 2008.

Spelman Medical Foundation will be
asking the community to support Dr. Arch Spelman’s vision of quality health care
delivered for his beloved Smithville community and all of the Northland.
If you haven’t
visited the Smithville Hospital in a while please drop by and take a look at the
many improvements including:
Outside

New front sidewalk and landscaping

Resurfaced parking lots
First floor

Inviting community meeting space just off the lobby

The Spelman Memorial Museum shows the proud heritage of the hospital and Dr.
Arch Spelman at the front entrance

The outpatient physical rehabilitation program has a comfortable waiting
area
Second and
Third Floors

The inpatient behavior health unit has new Interior design and the sunny
redesigned program is reaching more individuals and families than ever
before.

The Inpatient physical therapy program has received bright Interior design
face lift, new furniture and an attractive new dining area.
Mechanical
and Electrical Improvements

Numerous upgrades to mechanical equipment and structural improvements have
been made

A wireless computer network has been installed throughout the hospital
The total cost of these
improvements is more than $ 3,800,000.
